Priorities
Our schools, our environment, our economy, and our freedom. Elected officials have a responsibility to protect the inheritance we leave to our children. We need more common sense to protect our freedoms and our children’s future.

Our Schools – Every child has the right to a quality public education no matter where they live. We need to get back to what works: funding our schools and supporting our teachers. Many schools and libraries across the 33rd Senate District have inadequate facilities for what our children need and deserve. We need to invest in our children’s education.
Our Environment – Michiganders should have the freedom to pump clean water from their wells. However, too much of our water is polluted by PFAS and fracking. Clean energy production (including wind, solar, and nuclear) is restricted by reliance on dirty coal-burning generators. We need to take action now to hold polluters accountable, prevent contamination in the first place, and open up opportunities to clean energy production.
Our Economy – Growth shouldn’t come at the expense of the people who call this district home. Investment and development of advanced manufacturing and data centers should be tied to community benefits for the people who live, work, and raise their families here.
Our Democracy – America was founded on the idea that everyone has the freedom to participate in community life. The right to vote is foundational. We need to strongly protect voting rights and ensure every citizen can participate, not just the rich and powerful.
